Job Responsibilities : The Information Management Relationship & Analytical Solutions team is seeking a Senior Database Marketing Engineer to support our Event Based Communication initiatives. This data mining and data analytics work will evolve Schwab's communication charter and capabilities, and include improvements to timeliness, relevance of communication, response tracking and workflow efficiency. This role is an absolutely critical part of helping our campaign partners make the informed business decisions that lead to best of breed client communications. In this role, you will:regularly interface with technical, marketing and our client experience partners in order to provide clean, re-usable data of the highest quality to help them develop new, targeted communication campaigns. have a lead role in researching, analyzing and leveraging data to ensuring data quality for campaign management, business scoping and requirements analysis, UNICA flowchart analysis, data analysis, production control and quality assurance. help us to fine tune our data quality control processes to help ensure pristine data accuracy / data quality. In addition to highly efficient and accurate SAS, SQL programming skills (and ideally some strong UNIX Shell scripting skills, as well), this role also requires top notch customer support skills, as it will provide day-to-day support of communication campaigns.

Job Requirements : To be successful in this role, you should also have:3 years of UNICA Campaign experience. Strong (5-7 years) SAS and SQL programming, data mining and data analysis experience. Strong Windows server, Shell, UNIX & LINUX (highly desirable). 3 years experience in database or direct marketing. Senior-level (5-7 years) hands-on experience with the Software Development Lifecycle, along with requirements gathering, system development, data quality testing, data analysis, version control, and training. An established track record in creating communication campaigns that deliver to the client the right message, through the appropriate channels, at the most opportune time. Experience monitoring complex production systems, with an emphasis on scheduling and reporting. The ability to carry out complex assignments requiring both data analysis skills and a solid understanding of relevant business issues. Strong data mining and data analytics expertise, capable of researching Schwab Systems of Record and databases independently and confidently. A knack for developing solid processes through efficient allocation of resources, good design and quality control techniques. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, Mathematics or equivalent.
