LITIGATION SUPPORT STAFF

JOB PROFILE
Calculates timesheets for wage and hour cases handled by the law firm which are filed or to be filed before any court of the United States of America. Completes / fill-outs legal forms and documents for the cases handled by the law firm.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Analyzes case summary and pertinent documents.
Creates wage and hour calculation/s base on the summary and related documents on hand, time records and/or paystubs, to determine the total owed amount due to plaintiff/s from the defendant/s.
Computations of claims: minimum wage violation, overtime wage, meal period violation, rest period violation, waiting time penalty, paystubs violation, and interest.
Prepares pleadings after creating the wage and hour calculations.
Generates / propounds initial sets of discovery to defendant/s or plaintiff/s.
Prepares discovery separate statement.
Prepares discovery for responding.
Calculates initial wage and hour worked computation based on the produced documents from the defendant / employer or from the additional information obtained on the specific case on hand.
Performs internet research.
Performs other duties as assigned.
COMPETENCIES
Accounting and/or Law degree and/or Law student or equivalent; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Possesses project management skills and a solid understanding of the litigation process.
