Full-time Labor Advocacy Officer

 College degree in the field of the social sciences; post-graduate study in industrial relations, economics or law, an advantage
 Fluent in written and spoken English and Pilipino
 Very good technical writing skills
 With experience in policy or program formulation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation, advocacy work
 Preferably with knowledge of the Philippine Industrial Relations/workers’ rights
 Passionate, patient and willing to persevere in the struggle for workers’ rights and able to work long hours under pressure if required.
 Computer literate
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE JOB:
The Advocacy Officer (AO) will be responsible for the maintenance of the Membership Recruitment & Services’ daily advocacy work. The AO will build the capacity of the organization to carry out advocacy at different decision - making levels.
The AO will monitor developments affecting labor unions and workers in general in order to identify advocacy opportunities and drive initiatives related to these opportunities.
